How to Wear Tartan This Winter Season

Winter can be a tricky season to style for. Amongst the layering, plush fur, and bulky scarves, it is a miracle that some women make it outside the house dressed, much less on trend. One of the latest trends that has popped up all over the runway and street photography is the Tartan/Plaid print. This can be a very tricky trend to wear so I have given you some style suggestions below. Enjoy!

Now that you have hopefully been inspired, here are some sneaky and fabulous ways to work the tartan print into your wardrobe:

1. Start with Accessories
Unless you plan to make tartan a staple in your wardrobe, it is best to start out small. Instead of investing in a tartan cape, try an amazing tartan scarf that. This option is cheaper and allows you to wear the trend with more outfits.

2. Take Color into Account
Don't automatically go to a bright red print. Although red tartan can be very beautiful, there are some other color pallets that are much more neutral and subtle. This will allow you to wear the print more often and avoid looking like you're trying to hard.

Great neutral skirt for this trend

3.If You Go Big, Make it a Statement
If you want to rock bright red high waisted tartan pants, Bravo! Just make sure that the pants are the statement and focal piece of the outfit. Otherwise, you look will come off as overwhelming and fussy.

I really hope this helped you conquer the tartan print this winter season. See you soon:)

XOXO,
Kendra
